While some of it's sounds and styles can seem somewhat dated and by the numbers by today's standards, it's still a rip roaring and insanely detailed industrial album that deserves all the attention it gets, even if it's still trying to wipe off the 80s slime off it's highly polished back.

Favorite jams: Sanctified, Something I Can Never Have, Head Like A Hole

Lest favorite: Down in It (R A P T R E N T)

A very influential album to the Industrial rock scene. As far as listening to it in 2018...this hasn't aged well.

Favorite Track: Ringfinger

This was a fantastic first album debut that not only sounds great, was highly praised at its time reaching in the billboard 200 and having the first platinum hit (head like a hole) for an independent record label in the history of music. While this album isnt the most ambitious nor most industrial, it is a fantastic starting record, though sounding old still sounds great to the my ears.

Songs like Head Like a Hole and Terrible Lie are fantastic, but other songs such as Something I Can Never Have and Ringfinger kind of bring down the overall score a little bit. Also, Reznor's voice is immature and borderline annoying at various points throughout the album, but the immature and imperfect voice sometimes adds to the tracks, so it's not all bad.
