Even though super long proggy Periphery-type metal is not really my thing, I thought this wasn't bad at all. Some pretty cool ideas throughout.
Weird that they'd release pretty much the entire EP minus the last track as a standalone single, but I'm not complaining. This track is absolutely excellent. The dynamics present throughout each phase, the traditionally Liturgy glitchwork being used in its most artistic form, the avant-garde metal songwriting that is utterly rewarding... I just can't believe Hunter Hunt-Hendrix is able to continue producing some of the most artistic and innovative art seemingly out of nowhere. Gotta love the ... read more
