Clash
It may still be early in their careers, but the songs they write, record and perform demonstrate a maturity and complexity beyond their years. It’s an informed sound that echoes a number of musical heavyweights, yet the group take those influences and give them a distinct, new lease of life, one that’s relevant.

It’s clear that they’re from North America – there’s a whole realm of North American indie/alternative bands from over forty years I could name as likely having been a reference here – and as always, the trick is to produce something new with all of that. How much of this is really new I don’t know, but it’s interesting to listen to where they go to.

This is definitely a top 5 album of the year for me so far. Each listen just gets better and better. The Backseat Lovers quickly became my favorite band and in my top 10 most listened to artists in the past year or so and it’s no wonder why. Their sound and authenticity is unmatched. I feel so much emotion and passion in their instrumentation and production and they never seem to disappoint except for maybe a few tracks on their earlier work. This new album however, is no exception to the ... read more

Makes me want to take a trip to the mountains and watch the rain fall. Different stylistically than their previous album but equally as intriguing and way more pure in emotion.

the production is off the charts, very laid back compared to their other work. True artistry and vision shines in this collection of tracks.

A lot of crescendos and quiet moments, too much if you ask me. The album is so dynamic it feels directionless. The writing feels like it should be going somewhere, but its not really.

I didn't know if the day would come where i pick this over the debut, but maybe im a sad old man now. or maybe it's just autumn. this and the debut r so close but rn, this album is jus gorgeous and when summer comes around ill probably start banging the debut again. but some of the lyrics on here r jus unfair like why am I crying
