similarly to my first listen to Beach House (which have since become a favorite band of mine) i fell in a trance with this record QUICK. the vocals and silky instrumentals make for such a beautiful listen. i wanted to give this album somewhere in the 90s but this record loses me when it begins to drag on in a few of its tracks. if some time here was cut off in these songs it would score even higher, but even then the pros outweigh the cons.
I remember people mentioning Mazzy Star a bunch to me before talking about good dream pop, prominent female vocalists and powerful, melancholic production and songwriting. But I still had yet to hear them, until @KawaiiBoyGirl kept telling me to listen to this and yeah. This is literally like so weird, so lethargic, yet so transcendental at the same time. So Tonight That I Might See, é um álbum bom pro gênero, mas tá longe de ser o melhor - Todas as faixas são boas, quando você escuta a primeira faixa você fica encantado, esperando que o resto do álbum vai ser bom nesse nível, mas aí é que está: não vai.
