Tiny Mix Tapes

Huerco S. claimed he wanted to make something timeless. Both genuinely and emblematically, he’s done just that.

These are gorgeous tracks -- their synthwork is overwhelmingly shiny, but it’s curtained by the antique dust of lo-fi.

Pitchfork

Part of the album's magic is the way that Huerco S., after the fashion of William Basinski’s The Disintegration Loops, has captured a feeling of fragility, of things flaking to dust before our very eyes and ears.

the depth and creativity the producer has employed make this album stand out as an example of ambient music at its most compelling.

No Ripcord

Whereas Colonial Patterns hinted at an artist who maybe would’ve liked to get listeners to dance, Those of You wants to take our minds to a more serene place. It’s mesmerizing background music that doesn’t pass judgment if you let it take a secondary role in your daily life.

A welcome surprise from the producer, and an immersive, enchanting listen.

There's still tension in these songs—as in any dream, the unexpected happens—but each tune unfurls with patient, soothing confidence.

I find this to be a bit or bore, yeah I get it's ambient but I've heard far more interesting ambient albums which have managed to have way more mood, emotion and interesting soundscapes than this.

Best Track: Lifeblood
Worst Track: Hear Me Out

While the louder the drone gets, the more ear ... read more

Really nice ambient album. Sound a lot better on high end systems/headphones at loud volume where you can hear the intricacies of the production and get the intended bass rumble. Some of the tracks just cut off at the end which feels a bit lazy.
