'Paranoid' is just such a great metal album, it's a metal album that's effectively simple and also one that withstood the test of time extremely well. The guitar riffs are heavy, lively and memorable, while the percussion compliments them really well. Ozzy's lyricism on here is just amazing, his shouty and bold verses are so vivid, politically charged and rebellious. Not only is this album a vast improvement on Black Sabbath, it's also one of the greatest metal albums of all time. It's Black Sabbath firing off all cylinders, and it's glorious to listen to it's fun and tight madness.
