There is a heavy fatty sound there that is cool, but melodies are boring and the songs seem to rely on short repetitive riffs. Drumming was nice. There was not much dynamic differences in the songs. Vocals were quite punky what was nice, but the melodies weren’t catchy. Their lyrics are quite cynical and almost bitter. There was one song (Turn it off) that I liked, it felt most airy and catchy. I loved the vocal melodies there. This genre just isn’t my jam.
My thoughts on this album are that I feel indifferent about it. I will admit that I have slowly gotten into that garage/dirty rock scene with a few songs now and again. However, most bands tend to blend together very often and fail to make themselves unique. What's different about this one is that even though that does happen at points, there are enough interesting dynamics to keep this fresh.
