The feast for the dark imagination that is Decius Vol 1, and Saoudi’s immersed and entirely committed place in this half-lit, tactile world, deserves to find this staggeringly fine debut fervent audiences.

The circle is complete with Decius - the Mays plus Warmduscher knob-twiddler Quinn Whalley and Fat Whites frontman Lias Saudi - whose back-to-basics warehouse jams are camp as a Carry On but deliver serious heft.
