Jeff Beck's take on the "Guitar Album" isn't too different from other energetic funky jazz fusion at the time, but I found it nice as some silly background music. It can lack some of that "flavor" or pizazz that keeps me interested with other JF, especially during the slower sections, but when it's fast it's easy to turn your brain off and jam to the music. Led Boots is my favorite, half because of the guitar and half because of those sick drums :3
A solid piece of Jeff Beck amazing guitar work fusing elements of jazz, progressive rock, funk and Blues to create 37 minutes of energetic guitar bliss

Boundary-breaking funky jazz fusion with a lot of progressive elements and experimentation. All of the songs here are very good, but unfortunately the album is pretty short and I would have loved it more if it was at least ... read more
Expected this to be more bluesy/jazzy like "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat", but was surprised with a jazz-fusion piece of art instead. I always heard how great Jeff Beck is, but, other than random tracks, I've never checked him out. After doing so, I can safely say this motherfucker is one hell of a guitarist, he knew exactly how to play and WHEN to play in every track included in this beautiful album. His guitar was, obviously, the centerpiece of "Wired", adding texture, depth ... read more
