THIS ALBUM IS A MASTAPEECE BABY!

So for a change I've decided to do something different for this review:

DO RESEARCH BEFOREHAND

"Heroes" is the 12th studio album by the EXCELLENT, multi-instrumentalist, producer, space oddity, singer-songwriter DAVID BOWIE. This installment to Bowie's immaculate discography continues down the road of experimental, alien, epic art rock masterpieces.

Like I've said before; Bowie's discography is indescribable, unlike any other artist. I STILL ... read more

I feel like with every single Bowie album, David Bowie just keeps topping his best performance yet. It happens over and over again. Maybe it's just because every Bowie album is a completely different mind-blowing experience, or I just keep thinking that. It's awesome.

Yet again, Bowie delivers an experience that can't be matched by any other artist. On "Heroes", David Bowie takes the tactics he used to make Low so good and does it a second time, and the result is an album that while ... read more

With one of the best opening three tracks in Bowie history (maybe since Ziggy Stardust or The Man Who Sold The World), this album may lack the thematic consistency of Bowie's best work, and it does get a little too safe for my personal taste, and does tend to tred on Lows toes a little to hard, but it's Bowie going for his well deserved victory lap. Damn, this is easily David’s most awesome work to date, the production on this album is killer and I love how the second half goes ambient until The Secret Life of Arabia (AKA one of his most underrated songs) Also, one of my favorite songs of all time, Heroes, is on this record, so I think we are know why my score is so high.

Not all heroes are really heroes—there are those of whom would be easily labeled as such given what they’ve accomplished in different respects, but know that at the core, only a part of them deserves that title. David Bowie is one who undoubtedly deserves the title for his contributions to music (especially for his time) given the talents he displayed repeatedly on each of his records following his shaky debut: his boundary-pushing ambition, his unique shape-shifting style of sorts, ... read more
