Exceedingly OK. Incredibly listenable. Ultimately forgettable but pleasant.

Despite featuring charmless commonalities with some of today's mainstream pop, the duo's new album attains a higher ground because of the warmth that permeates works of Fleetwood Mac, Linda Ronstadt and Joan Baez. The album has very warm and textured production which reminds me a lot of female singers of the 90s. Hay algo de vigencia y permanencia pero aprovechando para explorar. Hay facilidad para crear canciones. No me gusta tanto como el anterior pero me parece un bello intento de mezclar pop con folk todo muy brilloso. Me quedo con el recuerdo de algunas guitarras que me atraparon.

My queens are back!!!! I enjoy this just as much as their previous album. Lyrically it's nothing too crazy, but sonically I can't help but throw my cowboy hat on and sway to the music.

To be completely honest, I was yawning my way through this entire album. The singing was good, but the songs just felt so basic that it was difficult to even get through. Definitely won’t be revisiting.

<3 Tear the Night Up

Aly & AJ release a very enjoyable Americana album with a lot of different jams to show they still got it, but there are times in the album that feel riddles with unecessary Pop Hooks and oversaturated cliches to make it stand out amongst what has come out this year. I still enjoyed a couple tracks including With Love From and Sunchoke but it is a solid album .

A beautiful vibe throughout, this americana/folk pop approach from Aly & AJ fits their talents rather perfectly in my opinion. Granted, it does not revolutionize anything - this does not deter me from really enjoying it, however. I hope this is a direction that they continue to follow.

It’s good, don’t get me wrong, I like the writing, the general production on this album is pretty good. It’s a bit too long, but it’s alright, nothing to complain about.

That’s the problem too, it doesn’t try hard or do anything great, it’s just pretty good in all aspects that it seems to blend in at times and the catchy choruses get redundant the farther along you go. it's cute and inoffensive, but nothing all that special. a pleasant, relaxing listen overall.

A slight misstep after “a touch of the beat…”, but overall enjoyable, with their approach at Americana being done pretty tastefully

Its okey it feels like a good follow up of A Touch Of The Beat but it's more relaxed and less pop than that

"With Love From" is pretty and pleasant (just like Aly & Aj's previous record) but very rarely takes you to the emotional heights "a touch of the beat..." does.

No highlights.

A lovely, gentle album that is easy to listen to, the incorporation of soft rock elements elevates this otherwise pleasant album to a new level, along with the gentle voices, great production choices and impressive lyrical skill, Aly & Aj deliver a sonically stunning project.

This week has been terrible in releases.

This is one of the most underrated indie pop duos out there. Loved this album.
