Saying Jimi Hendrix is one of the greatest guitarists and psychedelic rock artists of all time is nothing new by any means, I mean, pretty much everyone knows him for that. That statement however's only further proven on Electric Ladyland, one of the best psychedelic rock; or even rock; or even just albums of the 60's. This thing is front to back genius and is no doubt in my book, one of the greatest albums of all time
Jimi Hendrix's final studio project is also the gem of his discography. Through all 75 minutes of pure psychedelic rock, Jimi sings his most memorable and personal lyrics along with his smooth and funky guitar work. Had a bizarre mental breakdown the other night and wanted some way to find peace again. Seeing as drugs weren't a viable option at the time, music was my final scapegoat.

And DAMN. this shit took me away. It's been a long fuckin time since I've been moved by pure artistry. Makes me remember how much I love music.
Electric Ladyland is my favorite album from Jimi Hendrix and his band...and none of their other records are really even close. There's nothing I can say about this record that hasn't been said before. It's an hour-long rock EPIC and is still considered one of the best albums of the 1960s. Rightfully so.

Strong 8/10
