Saying Jimi Hendrix is one of the greatest guitarists and psychedelic rock artists of all time is nothing new by any means, I mean, pretty much everyone knows him for that. That statement however's only further proven on Electric Ladyland, one of the best psychedelic rock; or even rock; or even just albums of the 60's. Had a bizarre mental breakdown the other night and wanted some way to find peace again. Seeing as drugs weren't a viable option at the time, music was my final scapegoat.

And DAMN. this shit took me away. It's been a long fuckin time since I've been moved by pure artistry. Makes me remember how much I love music.

'Electric Ladyland' is a psychedelic journey, created in such a way that leaves you captivated and allured by what Jimi Hendrix was doing. This was the last album Jimi Hendrix would ever make before he passed away and it's the one that he possibly had the most creative control over, it's clear that his perfectionism took him a long way, as a result of that perfectionism we got his dense, layered, structurally interesting and incredibly well played psychedelic masterpiece of an album.
