Even though No Theme was meant to be a "not serious" album, it still manages to be his best project up to this point. There is a clear jump in musical talent with every song here, and being a shorter project, it helps keep quality over quantity. For being still such an early Johnnascus project, this one definitely impressed me.
''No Theme'' is one of Johnnascus' more mediocre projects. It has some nice songs, like the crazy ''Death Rave'' or the hard going ''Falling Babylon''. But then there's ''Track #1'' where Johnnascus' voice gets drowned out by everything. There's also the overtly long ''N0cturnal Journey'' or the quite loud and tolerable ''Shattered Reality''.
