Erratic though it may be, All Eyez on Me is nonetheless carried off with the assurance of a legend in his own time, and it stands as 2Pac's magnum opus.


Tupac’s 1996 double album was made in a frenzy. It is paranoid and brazen, fun and fearless, but it is Pac’s singular style that keeps one of his greatest records from coming undone at the seams.


'All Eyez On Me' is a grittier, bloodier, nastier, more twisted and more gripping record than even last year's death-haunted, survivalist predecessor, 'Me Against The World'.

Even as a garden-variety thug, 2Pac shows more skill than most. He deserves to have all eyes & and ears on him.


His lyrics vary in quality from song to song, and it must be taken into account that it’s primarily a party album and that the lyrics are supposed to reflect the mood, i.e. they’re supposed to be fun.
