Now this is more like it. After I was personally disappointed with their previous album Rolling Waves, The Naked and Famous retreated back to their debut roots and basically made it much more electric. Each tracks from start to finish keeps you busy and the energy was profound. Simple Forms deserves another chance, I think this album is severely underrated.
Having members in your band dating each other can bring a great sense of chemistry within the band. That's something that has always seemed pretty respectable to me, yet sometimes when I see it, I can't help but wonder what would happen if that relationship were to crash and burn. Eu me animei MUITO com o começo desse álbum, afinal a faixa introdutória (Higher) esbanjava energia e me lembrou muito o álbum de estreia deles + o hit 'Young Blood', porém, a cada faixa que se passava eu só sentia uma coisa: tédio
Com faixas super genéricas, eles largaram sua originalidade para fazer um som sem graça onde obivamente estão desesperados por mais um hit

If you want to listen to the Naked and Famous listen to their first album. This album doesn't really bring anything else to the table and the first is far superior.
The Naked and Famous released quite an avant garde album: a preamble of what a jaded CHVRCHES album will sound like.
