Obel's voice, on this project and others of hers that I've heard, is simply beautiful. She has a great vocal range and is really good at putting inflections where they need to be. Citizen of Glass is where Danish songstress Agnes Obel starts to experiment in style and sound, adding a touch of electronics and celestial styles to her deep and emotive folk songs. I love how she uses vocal edits to create such unusual sounds that almost seem otherworldly. As we continue with her musical journey, she never fails to surprise me with her songwriting and melodies. A very strong third album.
