You know what? Forget the nurture review. I'm reviewing this instead.

Stankonia is awesome. It's unforgettable. It's a landmark in hip-hop history. It is... a classic. These are some of the most basic instrumentals I've ever heard. Was there even any effort put into the beat for "Snappin' & Trappin'"? I don't know. But they make it work. The rapping.... man these features are aren't even THAT amazing. In fact, the only features here that are worth mentioning as standouts are the ... read more

After all these years... It's tragic to see that Stankonia has been swept under the rug, and yet it holds up to be one of the most boldest and intrepid Hip-Hop experiences of all time.

Aside from that, the fact that this could very well be the greatest display of OutKast's comradery, the fact that "Stankonia" is the amalgamation of everything the duo has had their hands on beforehand, the fact that this is either artist's greatest performance... is why the album ... read more

20+ Songs? Yup

70+ minutes? I wish it were longer

Does it feel like a chore? Not once

Stankonia is a sublime funk/hip-hop moment that proves just because something is long doesn't mean it is terrible. OutKast push their incredible sound to new commercial heights. It is bursting at the seams with original songs, funny skits, and excellent guest spots. 'B.O.B.' is one of the best songs and holds up to this day; I honestly stop what I am doing and just smile at the speed and sounds passing ... read more

[73.63] Now in the new millennium, Outkast delivers something much more energizing than Aquemini, some would call it more of a pop oriented record because of this diversion. Still here on Stankonia, Outkast is aware of what they are making, and it's influential southern hip/hop many rappers will end up coming out following their movement into stardom. I surely wanted more out of this tape, but maybe this is where Outkast started to move completely beyond their previous stuff.

Also can't ... read more

Catchy, fun, great lyrics, super talented members, hilarious moments, classic in every way. What more could you want from an album? One of my all-time favorite hip-hop albums, however, Stankonia is so much more than hip-hop. It is its own thing that is truly unique and one for the ages.

Let me know what you think about this album below in the comments and as always, have a great day.

B.O.B. is the best track off this because it makes me want to go down the speedway at 120mph.

BREAK!

Record numba fo. The start of new decade meant the start of a new Outkast. Like with every album so far, each record comes like a new season of your favorite show, a new, and better, and more exciting episode coming at you with each release. And believe me, “Stankonia” comes nothing short of delivering the cartoony and charismatic personas and adventures of the boys we’ve come to love ... read more

**100TH REVIEW SPECIAL**

Welcome to Stankonia, Georgia.

I don't think it possible to understate the world-building on this album. OutKast wants to take you seven leagues below sea level, into the realm from which all funky things come. In doing so, the duo refused to listen to any rap or hip hop in the process of creating this record, in hopes of creating a sound that elevated past slick bars and booming beats. A flurry of skits decorate the tracklist to build an experience that isn't ... read more

It's Stankonia. Come on.

High energy all throughout, but there's way too many interludes for my liking, but at least some actually felt funny and worthwhile. Bombs Over Baghdad slaps unnecessarily hard and a large volume of the tracks are great, but some tracks are definitely too weird and dated for their own good. But the good outweighs the bad overall.

If you haven't heard Stankonia, why? Please do, it's pretty good despite its obvious flaws. What a classic.

Favourite Song: B.O.B.

The third album in what I consider to be the best 3 album run in all of music (ATLiens, Aquemini Stankonia) Stankonia is probably Outkast's most charismatic and energetic album to date. The flows are fucking speedy and smooth asf, the topics on this album range from everything to black culture, politics, and parenthood. This proves Oukast as the primary sound of Atlanta of the late 90's early 2000's.

Best Tracls: B.O.B., Ms, Jackson, So Fresh, So Clean, Gasoline Dreams, Xplosion, Spaghetti ... read more

Probably the most creative and engaging hip hop record I've heard. The range of sounds these guys fit into an album is nuts. Essential listening.

>>>>> Aquemini
Stankonia was ahead of its time in terms of vocal styles and it offered some of the best production in that era of hip-hop.

The sound of Stankonia was vastly different from anything OutKast had done up to this point in their musical careers. Where their debut showed signs of their direction and their following two albums exhibited strong atmospheric and southern-inspired beat structures that created a stellar soothing sense, Stankonia is by far the duo at their most aggressive and hungry. The beats come with a bit more punch, the vocals are harder, and the production is a blend of pop, traditional hip hop and funk. ... read more
