Drowned in Sound

Rather than the swan song it could have been, it's instead a record that's provided Bear's Den a new lease of life, allowing them to build on the solid foundations laid as a trio and create something that not only feels like a natural progression, but is also staggeringly pretty in the process.

Clash

Every piece of ‘Red Earth & Pouring Rain’ is so undeniably delicate and intricate, like an antique family heirloom, it even makes you question how hard you hit the play button for fear of damage.

The Line of Best Fit

Red Earth and Pouring Rain is an admirably ambitious album and presents Bear’s Den as a far more diverse, capable band that many would have previously thought.

It is a decent return from a band who continue to show promise.

Surprisingly, this album is very simple, but brings me back to simpler yet enticing upbeat music filled with passion and commonly rooted music. Love this album.

A really great album, Islands was more acoustic but we can enjoy this as well.
