Another Nu Metalcore drop of 2023. I'm a big fan of the genre, but honestly, Darknet always just seemed like a super uninteresting band in it. It sounds like all other Nu Metalcore, just the riffs aren't as good, nor are the vocals.

trashworld is a great improvement over Darknet's past works, with more interesting choices in production and overall being more consistent. I kind of wish it had more industrial and electronic elements, but it's a great record nonetheless.

I really try to enjoy Metalcore and Nu Metal as I believe it's quite severely over hated, but, I just can't come to enjoy stuff like this.

This feels really corny and as with all Metalcore, it's trying to be too heavy and sacrifices any meaningful substance in favour for trying to be the loudest and heaviest, and I get that it's a genre that you need to go into with the intention to just groove to it, but I can't enjoy this, let alone listen to it again.
