They had succeeded as artists, using existing elements in an unusual combination to create something new that still managed to be oddly familiar. And that made Talking Heads: 77 a landmark album.

Drowned in Sound

Though Talking Heads 77 was ahead of its time, it can sound dated in places. Then again, with music this good, that’s half the attraction. The appeal of fellow CBGB regulars Television and Lou Reed hasn’t faded - just ask Julian Casablancas - and neither should that of Talking Heads.

This album cover is impeccable. I wonder how many artists came together and created such a masterful work of visual art.

Finally embarking on my Talking Heads adventure starting today!

It's hard to describe David Byrne's presence but I feel that on Talking Heads: 77 his sporadic energy is at it's most confined.
Definitely a good jumping off point and a good indication of what lies ahead.

Best: Uh-Oh Love Comes to Town, Pulled Up, Psycho Killer, Happy Day, No Compassion

The album cover is one of the worst covers I’ve ever seen like the color coordination here is doo-doo.

Who is it and First Week / Last Week….Carefree go so crazy though
