It's pretty hard to top a record as ahead-of-its-time as "Remain In Light". With the removal of Brian Eno, Talking Heads decided to move on with their base sound and, while it's not nearly as infectious, "Speaking In Tongues" is still an extremely fun, colorful, well-written and eccentric record that contains some of their funkiest moments!

A good album that suffers from way too much filler.

Speaking In Tongues is yet another great album from Talking Heads. From the few albums I've heard from them, it's become quite clear that in their prime they were easily one of the best bands to come out of the new wave genre, and this album continues to prove that. Great lyrics, but instrumentally not as impressive as Fear of Music and the godly Remain In Light. It's more empty and forgettable for me.
