... read more

An extremely hellish and disturbing punk album that is unfortunately bogged down by some really flat production and repetitive song writing. This should have gone way harder.

One of the more fierce and cuttooth hardcore punk albums of it's time. Much like the Fight Back EP, Discharge sounds like they need something to say and are shoving it in your face in the most aggressive yet simple way. I know it may seem by the books by now but this album would influence many in both punk and metal. Genuinely great album.

Kinda gets repetitive after listening to the whole thing but is constant.

I can appreciate the influence this album had, and I do think it has some pretty great moments on it, but a lot of the tracks on this thing seem like they're just the singer singing the title of the song and a lot of them sound really samey. Still, it is a pretty fun listen.

Although Hear Nothing... is a highly influential Punk record but over the years it has lost some its edge against some other of its contemporaries such as the Dead Kennedy's mainly due to a lot of tracks not being sticky enough for me and not having their constant replay value which an album like rotting vegetables has but it is still a fun listen and I would highly recommend if you are getting into Punk.

I saw that a while back, I reviewed Boris' newest album "NO", mentioned this band, and then I just realized I never actually reviewed this album.
Time to rectify that, I guess!

My enjoyment of this album is almost entirely irrational, and it has been since I first listened to this a long while back. I could never justify to another person why "DRUNK WITH POWER, OBSESSED WITH DEATH, DEATH AND DESTRUCTION DRUNK WITH POWER!!" is such an enjoyable hook and then why fitting that ... read more

this is such a bubblegum type of album - in the sense that it loses flavor pretty quickly

the vocalist is also grating and really off key
