Tiny Mix Tapes

blisters is a shadowbox of foregrounds and backgrounds, plainspoken address versus skyward invocation, the injunction of intersecting folk performance styles (spiritual, musical theater, pop R&B) into the sparring tectonic movements of neophytic hyperobjects.

Resident Advisor

With Josiah Wise's voice and songwriting, blisters would have been memorable no matter who produced it ... The involvement of British producer The Haxan Cloak, however, is what takes blisters to the next level.

This is beautiful! His lyrics and his pronunciation physically tickle to listen to. Different sound than his LP that came out this year, but both styles work very well.
