Didn't down any psychedelics and still had an absolute blast listening to this. Are You Shpongled? proves Simon was born wired to another dimension. His stuff just oozes that "one with nature", conspiracy-ridden, spiritually-charged, tinfoil-hat-wearing vibe and its freaking great.
Yes this music sounds mind blowing on psychedelics trust me and it is created to enhance substances you take and create a beautiful, more powerful and euphoric trip. But Shpongle loses credit where it should not because this music is just as good sober and when you get down to it these pieces of music are intense, unique and highly intellectual with so much thought and practice put into each song.
