Did I tell y’all my mom dated Usher?

Well, it didn’t last long because my grandmother then learned about them, and in a fit of fury she threatened that if he called again she would castrate and “hang him by his balls”. Yeah… we don’t talk to her anymore for obvious reasons.

However… now I’m wondering if Usher coulda been my Daddy 🤔

Usher has returned with a mediocre/unneeded album.
Usher obviously released this album because of his Super Bowl performance this upcoming Sunday, but honestly I'm not excited to hear any of these songs performed at the Super Bowl.
A unwanted album that feels soulless at points.

Fav Song: Good Good (feat. Summer Walker, 21 Savage)
Least Fav: Standing Next To You (Usher Remix)

This new Usher album…

It’s not good.

*explosion*

His ass was straight up capping, calling this “Confessions II”.

What the hell is this, man? What the hell is THIS??? Look, I get it, Usher in 2024 was bound to be a bad idea, the man is 30 odd years into his catalog, I get that. HOWEVER, considering how many CLASSICS are under his belt from over these years (Yeah!, Burn, Confessions pt II, The DJ Got Us Falling In Love, U Got It Bad, etc.), you’d at least hope ... read more

Usher returns with a 20-song LP after eight years and… it’s not that good! While his performing at the super bowl half time show may not been bad (R.I.P. his and Alicia Keys’ partners). He certainly has lost the ability to make good talented music.

Take songs such as “BIG”, “A-Town Girl” & “On the Side” where I physically did the skull emoji, based on how fucking awful and cringey the songwriting is. ITS AWFUL! The production is also ... read more

A surprisingly hefty amount of great songs, for an Usher album in 2024

Highlights: Coming Home, Good Good, Kissing Strangers, I Love U, Please U, One of Them Ones

Happy Super Bowl Sunday.

With Usher set to be the headliner for this year’s halftime show, he has released his new album right now to capture that momentum in his career. Honestly, he still has it in him. But, this thing is so dated sounding. I kind of love it because it does sound dated. This album reminds me of 2010s pop. It gives me a nostalgia rush. Is that what Usher was going for? Maybe. I don’t know. Good Good is a good single, in my opinion. Todd in the Shadows was right to ... read more

Didn't expect to hear Usher brag about getting a large fry instead of a small fry when he was a child but here we are.

Usher dropping was not on my calendar for 2024...

Uggghhhhhh what a slog of an album, I'm convinced Usher set out to make the most boring hour known to man. By gum, he came close it it, Jesus.
I literally have nothing to say about this album, except that its just so boring.

P.S. A-Town Girl is one of the worst songs of the year...

At this point in Usher’s career, it’s time for him to starting COMING off the stage and into what I assume is a 1.5 million mansion with an infinity pool, tennis court, movie theater, guesthouse, helipad, private runway, seaside view, private dock, bar, a grand staircase leading up to the second floor, dance studio, bay windows, and multiple whips and a yacht and a Cessna Citation X

I’m noticing that whenever an artist involves their Super Bowl Halftime into the release of their new album, things tend to go on a disappointing route… This might be the worst one yet.

Aesthetically weak, cliché, uninteresting, and generic. It has some exceptionally horrible songs, but most are just a mishmash of ultra-commercial, washed-out music.

Esteticamente fraca, clichê, desinteressante e genérico. Tem algumas músicas excepcionalmente horrorosas, mas a maioria é só um amontoado de música ultra comercial lavada.

Before his performance at the Super Bowl, the RnB legend releases a work that is mostly disposable and very lacking in cohesiveness.

Usher’s new album offers good, serviceable R&B that adds to his already expansive catalog.

Coming Home feels like a triumphant return for Usher, not only commercially but personally too. It's his first solo album in 8 years and shows almost all of his strenghts: whether it's smooth R&B love songs or energetic party bangers.
The record sounds current but at the same time doesn't try too hard to chase after trends. It's one of my favorite albums of his already.

Highlights: Coming Home, Good Good and Stone Kold Freak.
