Certainly if So Much (For) Stardust is the beginning of the band's third trilogy, as Stump claims in interviews, the future is looking pretty bright: even the most cynical of former fans may be retoxing on Fall Out Boy sooner rather than later.
So Much (For) the Stardust is a gloriously welcome return to form.
So Much (For) Stardust’s main takeaway is the palpable, radiating carefree joy. While there's no doubt Fall Out Boy have probably believed in their last 15 years’ worth of output, this is the first time that actually feels like they're reaching into something truer to themselves.
Rather than returning to their beloved emo roots – their latest body of work appears to be learning from their past, expanding on it, and it’s all we could want and more.
Fall Out Boy have pulled something of a switcheroo on us. So Much (For) Stardust does have a foot in a past FOB, but where they're taking you is somewhere you weren't expecting, and it's equally welcome. Just as importantly, they sound like Fall Out Boy again.
That they even have such ambitions this deep into their career is impressive — that they can still bring them to bear without making themselves look foolish is a goddamned miracle.
FOB rehashes a bunch of old rock cliches and carry a consistent theme throughout them. Their best album in a while. It’s very listenable, unlike their last album. Has some bops.
MY BOYS ARE BACK!!!!

Não é horrível, mas tem um som pop rock meio brega, mesmo assim consegue entregar alguns refrões legais e músicas bem estruturadas.
I zoned out so badly that 3 songs passed and I didn't even know they were different songs.
Spotify Wrapped just dropped and due to me listening to this on pure repeat when it first came out, this band has been in my top 5 for the third year in a row. Anyways, best project they've had in a hot minute (15 years to be exact) Solid tracks, it's fun to hear actual rock songs coming from them. Very over-the-top at points with all the glitz and glam, with songs like the title track going absolutely over the top with all the strings, piano, horns and choir, and the intro with again, the ... read more
