The Telegraph

Sleaford Mods have lost none of their political bite, humour, and astute observational skill. UK Grim will cement their place as one of Britain’s most influential – and successful – UK bands.

Northern Transmissions
In a world where music is often reduced to 15-second TikTok videos, Sleaford Mods are a refreshing breath of fresh air. They embody the spirit of the protest bands of punk’s heyday. But, the biggest takeaway has been Williamson’s evolution as a writer.
90
Clash
Instinctual, acerbic and erudite, ‘UK GRIM’ is stark and enthralling all in one.
80
Mojo

Inventive, reactive, but hauntingly untethered, there's no doubt UK Grim comes from a very bad place.

80
Gigwise
In classic Sleaford's style, it's a politically driven and exciting project, providing a voice to a frustrated country, acting as a chant towards a corrupt government and sorry state of affairs. It's also a lot of fun.
80
AllMusic

It's a slightly more disjointed experience than Spare Ribs, but Fearn and Williamson are making music for themselves first and fighting back against evil and stupidity the only way they can.

80
The Irish Times
Jason Williamson lets us know that ‘in England nobody can hear you scream’.
80
The Arts Desk
Vitriol on a roll – more despair with a little less flair.
80
Loud and Quiet
Nihilism and score-settling won’t solve much, but Sleaford Mods are still capable of skewering contemporary decay with a peculiar efficiency; for that alone, theirs remains an essential voice.
80
NME
‘UK Grim’ is a more aggressive beast, with multi-instrumentalist Andrew Fearn bringing more colour to their sound, continuing to add new depths to his compositions.
80
Record Collector
Nottingham duo broaden their musical horizons without losing their edge on masterful 12th.
80
Uncut
The Mods return with fury unabated.
76
Pitchfork
It’s the irascible British duo’s most varied album to date. Just don’t expect anything to change.
72
Spectrum Culture
Andrew Fearn and Jason Williamson sound as happy as ever on Sleaford Mods' latest release, which is to say, not very.
70
musicOMH
By this point, nobody should be surprised if Jason Williamson and Andrew Fearn are still spitting and firing in another 10 years.
70
DIY
They aren’t going to be for everyone - and this might not be a record that converts new fans in their droves - but pre-existing fans should be happy.

The Line of Best Fit

Of course, though there are moments when UK Grim feels more three-dimensional than previous records. It’s still very much a Sleaford Mods record, and as such will do little to sway anyone who isn’t already a fan of the band.

Under The Radar
As long as we’re stuck in the system, it seems we’re stuck with Sleaford Mods as well; for better or worse, they’re still the one band that do, well, that thing they do…and that’s something to cherish each time they load the barrel.

Have you ever seen Sleaford Mods live footage? I swear you have to see this, if not with your own eyes, then at least on the Internet, because it's just hilarious. It looks something like this - the dude on the left (with a beard) turns on a beat saved on a laptop in Ableton or some kind of music editor, and then just stands with a can of beer and swings to the rhythm, sipping from time to time and looking at the screen. The dude on the right at this time grumbles and spits into the microphone ... read more

Happiest Nottingham resident.

As far as I'm aware the guy in the beard does the production and the guy with the buzzcut "delivers" the lyrics. Which is the only way I can describe it. I'm literally from the UK and I cannot comprehend him, though not just because of the accent alone. That could work on it's own if it weren't for his awful staccato delivery. It sounds like he's freezing up at the thought of being recorded. When he tries to be melodic he remains in this shell shocked ... read more

Finally got around to listen to it with my partner (shoutout to Paleblooded ♥). Right Wing Beast clouded my judgement and prevented me from seeing the light.

Okay, but seriously though, it wasn't that bad. The quirky spoken word hip hop deliveries gave me a few good laugh. One of those "I enjoyed this for the wrong reasons" album.
