The combination of expansion to sounds they’ve dipped into before, the vast experimentation and ideas, and the weight of the lyrical content has greatly set this apart from their previous work, standing to be one of the greatest, if not the greatest, in their catalogue to date.

Disposable Everything is the perfect sonic amalgam of what AJJ has been and could always be. In a splendid fusion of acoustic rock grandeur, jazz archetypes and stringed harmonies, the band ascend to new heights with an admirable composure.

Disposable Everything is such a joyous little bottle rocket of an album that does not require you to think too hard and whilst it does not reinvent the wheel it will love you regardless and I am going to go and listen to it again because I need a hug.

This thing flew right by me and left me feeling very disoriented
It wasn't even that good either, there's a fair bit of mid in here. I don't think this should have been my first AJJ album 😭

Favourite tracks: Strawberry (Probably), Death Machine, White Ghosts

When this album is at its strongest, it still shows these guys are putting out bangers like the first 2 tracks. But sadly, a shit ton of filler plagues the middle to second half of this album. I think if you cut out the weaker tracks and strengthen the already good moments on here more, you would have legit one of AJJs best works in a while. But despite that, as it is, this is a pretty alright collection of folk tunes. Not bad!

Since discovering "Knife Man" at the age of 11, I have been a massive AJJ fan. If I had to point to one artist who has inspired the way I write lyrics the most, I would immediately point to Sean Bonnette and his extremely nihilistic yet somehow slightly hopeful lyrics as the biggest one. Yet, since "Knife Man" I have not been able to truly say I truly like a full AJJ album. I've liked songs by them sure, but the closest I got to liking a full project since then was ... read more

Can't believe I didn't think to make a "disposable album" joke when I initially rated this. I'm a failure.

They bringing back the knife man energy with this one. There was a few skips but most stuff on here are certified we live in a society bangers.
