Neil Young puts so much heart and passion into crafting Tonight’s the Night and what results is by far his most memorable and impressive record of his career. After the death of his close friend Bruce Barry, Neil bagan writing this album, and from that mourning of the loss gave way to the best overall songwriting in any of his albums prior or even after. Who wants to argue emotions transmitted through music aren’t tangible? This album sets my hairs on end it’s so damn raw and visceral in its grief and bitter resignation.

One of Young’s loosest albums - big, big Stones influence here. It rocks.
