The History of the Albums – n°298
With the brilliant Aftermath, not only did the Rolling Stones stay the course in the face of fierce competition, but they also gave us their first undisputed classic. The US reissue cut out four tracks to make room for the mega hit and all-time classic (as well as my vote for absolute best Rolling Stone song), Paint It, Black.

Aftermath (UK Version)
I'm pretty mad that Paint It Black isn't on this album.
Overall: 62/100 (Weighted Score of all Songs)
1. Mother's Little Helper 75/100
The guitar feels a little psychedelic.
2. Stupid Girl 50/100
This song is stupid.
3. Lady Jane 70/100
Usually not a fan of their calm songs but the acoustic guitar helps a lot.
4. Under My Thumb 85/100
This song is carrying the UK version in the absence of Paint It Black.
5. Doncha Bother Me 70/100
The guitar is memorable. Also nice ... read more
