The basslines on this album, the percussion? The energy from the MC's? All absolutely lovely, you can forgive a samey-sounding tracklist when it's done this well. There is not a single wasted second on this album. Similar in style to the early DITC works but the energy from the rappers here, especially Buckshot, make me love this even more.
Boot Camp Clik Essential Part 1: Enta Da Stage - Black Moon
Damn, what an incredible album. The production features some of the best and rawest boom bap beats of the early 90s. Every beat seriously bangs here. The rapping is dope as well. Actually one of the best hip-hop albums I’ve heard. Banger after banger, can’t believe how consistent this thing is. Top-tier flows, amazing production, and rhymes that are smooth af. It’s overall near perfect, and is exactly what I’m looking for in hip-hop albums.
