For what's essentially a glorified compilation of soundtrack contributions, these songs really pack a punch. They seem like a lot of classic film score ideas focused through Can's krautrock lens, and the results are potent. The record is surprisingly cohesive with the suite of Deadlock tracks opening the record and having solid pacing from then on out. The final one-two punch of 'Mother Sky' and 'She Brings the Rain' closes the record perfectly.
