This Is It And I Am It And You Are It And So Is That And He Is It And She Is It And It Is It And That Is That, down to its mouthful of a title, is a fearless album, brought to fruition by a desire to push boundaries and explore sound.
That she is able to incorporate these technical talents into solid songwriting is what makes This Is It the success that it is.
Super fun instrumentals, very catchy songs and a very entertaining singer which sounded kinda like the lady from made out of babies (it might be her fr but I can't search that up rn lol), no song felt like filler and you don't need much more than that sometimes
Hot take: the supposed "bubblegum pop" aspect of her music constantly cited by critics is just melodicism but, like, written by a pretty blonde lady.

crazy experimental math pop, and i loved it! stern’s way of tapping notes is of course crazy, and it works in a way that hugely complements her voice. and then, of course, local insane person Zach Hill does drumming too. it’s a great album!!!!
