If Voidz were cooler
I'm not a good judge on surf rock, but I'd say this was enjoyable enough. There's good melodies on here and I can't complain about anything overall. The album did drag on for a bit longer than I would have liked, but that seems like a minor complaint.
City Club is yet another step up for The Growlers with an even more original sound, fusing electronic elements with folk and garage rock. It’s very neat in production and writing as well. Some songs are much better than others though and it’s a bit more of a singles compilation type listen than as a whole.
Weakest album by the Growlers
