Well, I certainly wasn't expecting this. I wasn't expecting that I would rate this as high as I did. I also wasn't expecting to be seriously considering any more King Crimson albums to be as high as The Court Of The Crimson King. I was actually considering giving this a higher score than that album, but a few things did make me decide to go a few points below that one.

The first time I ever sat through this record, I cried by the end. I felt like King Crimson as a band made their way into my brain and stuck an idea in there that I would never comprehend. I listened way too deep into the music, and as I reminisce about it, this album is a triumph in human thought and a peak of modern art. The fact that this album's title is 'Red' makes me think that Robert Fripp had chromesthesia, as that color is the most prominent in the King Crimson discography. This makes ... read more
Ok. So... I might sound crazy, but I actually love "Red" more than "In the Court of The Crimson King". This record actually connected with me more than that album and, all in all, felt more exciting! There was never a dull moment here because everything here is so perfectly orchestrated!
