Gorgeous soundscapes. The acoustic guitars give way to heavy, slow and droning distorted guitars and the pained yelps add an aura of hopelessness and despair. The percussion is heavy and adds a ton but then when you least expect it they go into overdrive and blast beats fill your ears as the entire songs goes from a slow atmosphere to a riot of noise. This is an amazing addition to both the doom and sludge genres.

Artwork has never before more perfectly illustrated an album before.

This is awesome. 60 minutes of heavy, THICC atmosphere. I love a good atmospheric metal record, and this one sets an incredible tone with its engrossing apocalyptic imagery, crushing guitars, and screaming vocals that cut straight through the sludge.

And look at that artwork.

Massive and landscape esque in its delivery and sound but i feel like this album slightly loses its edge when going for a faster, more intricate pace. The power of this record lies in its giant steps and slow earthmoving movement.

An album that sounds like its cover.
