From what I've seen of off-site discussion of this album I was expecting it to be a situation where it was underrated by the reviewers, but eh I have to agree. This album is quite boring, at a length approaching an hour, this album rarely changes its sound in any way. The tracks aren't quite carbon copies of each other but a lot of them just sound very samey and boring. Such wasted potential.
I feel really bad for this rating, because I do think that 6lack is talented and I've enjoyed a handful of tracks from him, but as an album experience he always fails to be compelling. It's been 5 years since his last album, which is more than enough time to recognize what needs to be changed and adjust it accordingly. So coming into this I was really hoping that he would recognize his flaws and try to fix them, but man this is such a snoozer.

A good album but can be quite bland and times with very little standouts - underwhelmed as I know he can do better. The title track though is one of my favourite songs in a very long time
