This eponymous album is a real masterstroke and a sign not only that DEATH PILL are here to stay but that they are going to take a few scalps with them. Pay attention to this band.

A fine lyrical balance has been struck on this debut that will set it apart from many of their contemporaries. There is anger and disillusionment held within these nine tracks. But there are also moments of defiance and hope.

Angry it remains all the way through. And Death Pill, oddly, sound like they're having an awful lot of fun shouting about it.

There is a joyful defiance driving this band: a sense that making a horrible noise and venting a spleen or two can only be a positive thing, even in the midst of war.

This is a really generic kind of hardcore punk and at times it's also hilariously bad with its lyrics. Last year there were much better record in riot grrrl category. This is simply not good. Particularly, clean vocal sections are uninspiring while every riff feels like a Slayer or Exodus rip-off.
