I really enjoyed this... the arrangements are beautiful without being bombast or over-the-top. His voice is lovely and I like the grief-stricken poetic lyrics.
I don't necessarily like H Hawkline's voice but this was a good listen all around. I think that it has just enough oddity to his vocals and instrumentation that it makes it an interesting project to delve into however is it the craziest thing in the world not really. However Cate Le Bon producing this makes sense and I get a lot of vibes and echoes from Pompeii
For the most part, Milk for Flowers doesn't really try to innovate on the already existing sound of Indie Pop, but what it does do is add a pleasant contribution to the genre with a laid back feeling and varied instrumentation throughout the entire album.
