Definitely an improvement over K-12. I really like the beginning verse, it's kind of intense like YESSS the flowers ARE fresh! You're so right!!! Chorus is very boring tho. And the lyrics are a little generic (still better than K-12 tho lol). Still pretty generic pop in my eyes, but mainstream pop has never really been my thing. And that's okay.

I really don’t get why people don’t like this song it’s so catchy and the instrumentals aren’t bad
her high-pitched vocals met with heavy audio processing perfectly contrasts with the industrial-esc beats
aka, its really fucking good
her voice is the biggest problem for me as well as the song just being boring. some parts do catch my attention but never seem to hold it, and if it does, for the wrong reasons. also the björk imitation isn't working.
It can feel quite repetitive at points however, the overall song goes really well with the new era of Melanie Martinez and you can tell in the song she's trying to let go of the CryBaby era.
This new Melanie Martinez song is actually pretty fire ngl. The vocal effects can be quite much sometimes and a bit annoying, but this song’s production still shines brightly

Really not a fan of the vocal production on this, and the song is pretty boring and not that interesting, but it was not THAT BAD of a listen. I wonder how the rest of the album will go once released.
The chorus is really interesting and the drop is jarring . However everything else about this song is so fucking bland and boring. Melanie brings nothing to the vocals until the chorus. I'm familiar with her work. She loves metaphors and writing songs about abuse but there really isn't anything clever here. It is a sixty because JUST BASED ON THE CHORUS it may grow on me but it will just because the chorus is really good.
While being overall enjoyable, i find that the chorus to be quite lacking. She has a beautiful voice, which leads me to be very confused as to why she decided to process her vocal so much??
Chorus is kinda meta, but the production and artistry is rlly good.. im super excited for her stuff.
