Kamal.’s latest mixtape ‘so here you are, drowning’ is perhaps the best example of the 19-year-old Londoner’s pop talent and ability to combine inventive production sounds with ear wormy hooks to hugely resonant effect.

kamal.’s newest project does everything it’s meant to, depicting growth, reality and romance with a youthful lens. But it is in no way juvenile, his song-writing skills impressive, each song seemingly crafted with intent.
Its only 30 minutes long but it feels like hours.
Some of his earlier work was so promising: its a shame see such generic, bland bedroom-pop from kamal.
