Tom at some of his strangest and most surreal; this rivals Alice for the most dreamlike album the man has touched. A big reason I like it so much is because Tom really branched his influences out from the sailor/drifter/cabaret culture of America, and included a lot of dreary flickers of Eastern European sounds reminiscent of communism and the industrial revolution they had in the 20th century.
