Mixing is really important, most people just don't realize it because they aren't listening to full albums of the artists they hear on the radio, and much of what ends up on the radio has an agreeable enough mix.
Thank you Fantano, really do not know why people are considering critiquing the mix as something "nerdy" when the mixing is literally what dictates the sound quality of a song
yea this grew on me a bit . disappointed its just a ton of fun songs but god damn it theyr bangers alright . nothing much in th creativity aisle but this is so fkn hard man
I think people underestimate Peggy's replay value. His albums always have the same routine with most people, including me. The first listen can be mixed because there's so much happening, but each relisten it just clicks more and more and more. It's fucking insane how much Peggy has mastered this
Danny: "Let's talk about white people shit"
Peggy: *nodding with a smile* "yeaaaah, yeah yeah yeah.. my shit"
Danny: "SLACKLINING"
*noticeable confusion*
Peggy: "what"
Danny: *reading from letter* "Hey Danny, I was watching an episode of The Office were Andy and the employees try to slackline... bro what is slacklining??"
Peggy: "Bro this look like tightrope walking"
*pause*
Danny: "Yeah that's white people shit"
Peggy: "DEFinitely. Anything that is dangerous and unnecessary is white people shit"
Danny: *nodding solemnly* "Like parkour"
Peggy: "Parkooour"
small brain: critics score don't matter
bigger brain: aoty user score doesn't matter
biggest brain: ultimately it does not matter whst anyone else except for you think about an album but it's nice to see what other people/publications rate highly to get some cool recs out of it
literally nobody cares about the pitchfork score, i think theyre just scaring off the hoes (us) from their publication
doing what danny and peggy wanted π₯
