The collaborations between Billy Bragg and Wilco don't receive as much love as Wilco's proper albums, and perhaps for good reason. However, trying at least one Mermaid Avenue record of the three seemed necessary to really understand the sound of Wilco.

Better stuff out there
My Favorite Beatles Album

Wilco's collaboration with Billy Bragg makes for a pretty good folk/ rock record. Seriously, some of the songs sound like they come from a lost Beatles album.
