Brit alt.metallers Acres display their potential – with some big choruses to match – on album two, Burning Throne.
Burning Throne is the epitome of style absent of substance, and the style in question manages to come across as antiquated, dreary, and devoid of passion.
I found out about this album through the Nothing single with Silent Planet, which I absolutely LOVED so I decided to check out the entire album.
And unfortunately, the rest of the songs didn't really hold up to that one. It's a pretty generic Metalcore album, very mellow, and slow, it feels kinda boring. It's not bad by any means, it's well made, just needs more sauce.

I feel like this is a fantastic delve into the Alternative realm (Pop Punk wise) and is an enjoyable record with some great writing. Will be returning to this
