This was a record that had something for everybody, building on the basic blueprint of Off the Wall by adding harder funk, hard rock, softer ballads, and smoother soul -- expanding the approach to have something for every audience.

Are any of us really surprised that this is as amazing as it is? Not only is this the biggest selling album of all time, but this thing is stacked with banger after motherfucking banger! The mere fact that 6 out of the 9 tracks on here are tracks that are near and dear to my heart is something that very few albums can have bragging rights to. Arguably the greatest Pop album of all time. One of the few instances where artistic and commercial success go hand in hand.
