Back-to-back pop punk reviews let’s do this.

Another album that I heard once a long while back but haven’t heard in its entirety since then. This is a simple, fun, dumb album that was definitely a product of its time. There’s nothing that’s really introspective or thought-provoking about her music, but she was just a teenager when this thing came out so I’m honestly kinda impressed.

I love Avril's music but (unfortunately) the rest of the album just doesn't live up to the level of musical genius that "Complicated" is on. It's still an enjoyable album for me though.

a perfect time capsule for kids who grew up in suburbia - riding bikes through empty streets, trying to cast all of your feelings as something larger-than-life because of boredom, being a little embarrassing but honest

O álbum Let Go ficou marcado pelas músicas que viraram hinos dos adolescentes no início do século XXI. Entre as melhores estão "Losing Grip" e "Unwanted" as duas que mais se aproximam do rock. Apesar de se esforçar Lavigne não consegue demonstrar algo com real substância, entregando um trabalho apenas bom.

I fall in love with complicated when I first heard it so I listened to skater boy to see if her other music is great as well, but when I heard the opening lyrics, I clicked away and cringed. But this album is amazing.
Opening track reminds me of given up cause it's first and heaviest track on the record. After that came complicated, which is 1 of my favourite songs. Sk8er boy is good except for some lyrics on it and the rest of the songs are great as well. I loved her rapping in nobody's fool ... read more
