'Music for 18 Musicians' is a pretty interesting piece in itself, its compositions are stellar and well performed, the soundscapes textures and repetitive minimalism is dense and oftentimes ethereal, and it still holds up quite well. Where it loses me though is in its inability to keep me engaged. I will come back to it eventually but for my initial listen it didn’t really manage to fully captivate me, hopefully that will change.
Highly acclaimed as his best work, Music for 18 Musicians brings in a lenghty composition divided into Pulses and Sections, blending in distinct elements and instrumental bits to craft this majestic sound, full of colour and life.
