I really tried to get into this, but as an English speaker with only a faint grasp of German this album is borderline impossible to take seriously. Sonically, it's not too bad - a bit repetitive and generic at times, but mostly high energy and enjoyable! However lyrically it really suffers - you'll be getting into a track and all of a sudden a random bunch of English words are thrown at you, ranging from 'BACON BACON BEEF CHEESE' to 'PUSSY SNACK'. Some very good song ideas and pretty consistently catchy. Not all of the songs work for me and the instrumentation can get a bit stale at some points when its not changed up enough especially in the middle of the album. Overall some great songs but mostly just proof that theyre a very promising band.

Festival-anthems with critical lyrics about sexism, the hard music business and mental health. It sure is catchy, but Blond definitely is not reinventing the wheel.. especially doing that what younger siblings often tend to do: copying the style from the older ones.
