"Sister" is inspired from Philip K. Dick's life and experiences. Philip K. Dick's was an American writer known for his work in science fiction. The album named "Sister" as a reference to Dick's twin, that died in young age and affected his life and work. The initial title of the song "Schizophrenia" was sister too.
"Sister" is a more refined work in Sonic Youth's discography in comparison with their previous works that were rawer and more chaotic. Still ... read more
